EDWARDSVILLE - Edwardsville High School’s Marching Tigers traveled to London over winter break to perform in the London New Year’s Day Parade, showcasing their talents on an international stage.

The trip, which took place during the holiday break, included visits to several historic sites across the city.

Band directors Ryan Lipscomb and Dean Anderson led the group, which spent months preparing for the prestigious event.

Victoria Voumard, Edwardsville High School’s Orchestra Director and Fine Arts Department Chair, described the experience as an “incredible musical and cultural opportunity” for the students.

“The marching band was well-prepared and represented Edwardsville High School with great pride,” Voumard said.

The Edwardsville School District 7 administration expressed pride in the students’ representation of both the school and the community.

The district highlighted the performance as a moment of honor for Edwardsville, emphasizing the dedication and hard work involved in organizing the trip.
