EDWARDSVILLE – The Edwardsville School District is proud to announce that all three cheerleading programs — Liberty, Lincoln, and Edwardsville High School (EHS) — have officially qualified for the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association (ICCA) Championships taking place in January.

The momentum began on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Highland Competition, where Liberty Middle School claimed first place, and Lincoln Middle School followed closely with second place in the same division, qualifying for the Championships.

The impressive teams showcased their hard work all together the Edwardsville Home Competition on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, where the middle school teams once again battled for first and second place. Lincoln earned first place this time, while Liberty Junior High secured second place in the Large Junior High Division. Edwardsville JV and Large Varsity both took first place with their qualifying scores, advancing them to the ICCA Championships, to be held in January.

“These results are a testament to the hard work, spirit, and commitment of our cheerleaders, coaches, and families,” said a representative of the EHS Cheer Booster Club. “We are thrilled to see all three programs advancing to the ICCA Championships and representing our district with pride.”
