Alice Pierce, 28, of Granite City, was charged on Nov. 26, 2025 with four Class X felony counts of child pornography after two cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) prompted an investigation by the Madison County Sheriff's Department.

The Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office filed a petition to deny Pierce’s pretrial release from custody, which was later upheld by a Detention Order. Both documents contain new details behind the investigation leading up to her arrest.

“The cybertips provided information that a user was disseminating Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) via the Kik application,” the petition states. “Records obtained from Google provided the defendant's name and date of birth as the user of the Gmail address associated with the CSAM dissemination.”

Records obtained by authorities from Charter Communications also showed an IP address linked to an address in the 2200 block of Miracle Ave. in Granite City, reportedly owned by Pierce’s mother. Authorities executed a search warrant at the address on Nov. 25, 2025 and Pierce was taken into custody and interviewed.

During the interview, Pierce reportedly “admitted to ownership of the Kik account as well as to viewing and disseminating CSAM,” according to the petition. The Detention Order filed in this case states that while she made these admissions, she also claimed the files had been “transferred at the request of other individuals.”

“The defendant's position is not credible considering her immediate response to delete her accounts, yet not contact law enforcement or report the content,” the Detention Order states.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office presented the case against Pierce, who currently remains in custody at the Madison County Jail.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
