HARDIN — The Calhoun football Warriors 2025 team concluded their season with a 12-1 record, falling narrowly to Brown County 14-13 in the IHSA Class 1A playoffs on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
The Warriors remained competitive until the final seconds of the game, demonstrating strong effort from both players and the coaching staff. Throughout the season, the team received robust support from the Warriors cheer squad, which played a significant role in creating an energized atmosphere at games.
It has been said multiple times this season that the boys on the Calhoun football squad are inspirations to the younger generations, and that was evident by the interest of future Warriors at the key playoff game.
Aaron Elmore, the Warriors' head coach, led the boys to 12 wins this season with a group of remarkable assistant coaches. The assistant coaches work equally hard analyzing the films of opponents and helping to execute game plans each contest. The boys were just a step away from competing in this weekend's IHSA 1A state championship game.
Calhoun County residents showed overwhelming support, with fans filling up the Warriors side of the field during the playoff matchup. Brown County supporters also turned out in large numbers, contributing to a spirited environment at the game held in Hardin.
All in all, it was a perfect Saturday of football and showed the role high school sports play in communities, rallying them together as one to support their student-athletes.
