DUPO — Roxana secured a 47-27 victory over New Athens in the second game of the night at the Dupo Cat Classic Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025.

The game was tightly contested early on, with Roxana holding a narrow 14-13 lead at the end of the first quarter. Roxana extended their advantage to 25-17 by halftime.
After the break, Roxana improved their ball movement and shooting, pushing their lead to 37-21 heading into the final quarter. In the fourth quarter, Roxana outscored New Athens 10-6 to seal the win.
Leah Newton led Roxana with 16 points, followed by Tatum Shaw with 10. New Athens was paced by Brooke Deterding, who scored 18 points.
Roxana is scheduled to face Mt. Olive on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
