ON Saturday, September 26, join HeartLands Conservancy and the Sierra Club for a canoe trip up Piasa Creek.
Beginning at Piasa Harbor, the trek will take you upstream past rolling farmland, quiet woods, and inland bluffs, then turn back downstream to where the creek meets the mighty Mississippi. RSVP to reserve a canoe or bring your own! Please let us know if you will be bringing children so that we can find appropriately sized lifejackets.
Map:https://goo.gl/maps/XAX2a Cost: Free Clothing: Wear clothing you don't mind getting wet, and shoes with good grip. Lifejackets will be provided. Things to bring:
Dry clothing, to keep in your car (just in case!)
Sunscreen & sunhat
Water bottle
Waterproof container (eg, a Ziploc bag) for any personal items you plan to bring with you in the canoe
