Alton Symphony Orchestra presents the Young Artist Concert 7 pm Saturday April 20th at Hatheway Cultural Center on the campus of Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey. ASO's Concertmistress Deberah Haferkamp will conduct the concert featuring the four winners of the Marie Stillwell Young Artist Concerto Competition. Soloist's performing are pianist Gloria Zhon age 12, cellist Joshua Hart age 16, pianist Doren Lan age 17 and violinist Tess Krope age 14. Local composer and conductor of the Belleville Philharmonic will conduct his composition for orchestra, "Vision Quest". Tickets are available at halpin's Music and Duke Bakery in Alton and Dick's Flowers in Alton and Wood River and may be purchased at the door. Tickets are $10 for adults, seniors and teen are $5.
