The Hayner Public Library District and Lewis and Clark Community College Music Department will present Amy Camie, Harpist and Jessica Goodenough-Heuser, Soprano on Sunday March 24 at 2 p.m. in the historic Benjamin Godfrey Memorial Chapel located on the Godfrey Campus, 5800 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, IL.
Amy (Conrady) Camie, a Godfrey native and professional harpist for over 35 years, is an award winning performer, public speaker, recording artist, author and Founder of the Scientific Arts Foundation. Her healing solo harp music has been used in nine different research studies indicating how they increase neurological functioning, support the immune system and reduce pain, distress and anxiety levels. Her inspired music relaxes the body, calms the mind, and gently touches the soul. Amy's CDs are used throughout the country in hospitals, cancer centers and hospices as well as for general relaxation and stress reduction.
Jessica Goodenough-Heuser earned her Bachelor in vocal performance from Washington University where she studied with Christine Armistead. As a specialist in Baroque and Early Music, she performs around the US and internationally. A native of St. Louis, Jessica sings regularly with the Kingsbury Ensemble and as the section leader and soloist at Christ Church Cathedral. Her natural tone and diverse palate allow her to move easily between genres.
