Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 3 pm, the Alton Symphony Orchestra presents an afternoon of European delights! We begin with the Overture to La Forza Del Destino by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. Then, pianist Avguste Antonov joins the ASO to perform Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major. Enjoy a sampling of Italian wines and desserts for sale by Gentelin’s On Broadway before being swept away by Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 “Italian” accompanied by a special visual tour of Italy.
