The Principia College Choir and Orchestra will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria in Cox Auditorium in Christ Church’s magnificent historic setting, celebrated for its magnificent Gothic Revival architecture and stunning acoustics.

Composed around 1715, Vivaldi’s Gloria is considered one of the great sacred masterworks of the Baroque era. With its brilliant orchestration, soaring choral passages, and lyrical solo movements, this celebrated work offers an uplifting and inspiring musical experience.

The evening will begin with a pipe organ prelude by J.S. Bach performed by College organist, Dr. Rose Whitmore. The ensembles will be conducted by Dr. Joe Van Riper and feature student soloists Maddie Dilley (soprano), Kate Shipp (soprano), Olivia Frank (cello), and Gui Milla (trumpet), alongside vocal soloists with St. Louis Bach Society and Early Music Missouri.

The concert will last approximately 45 minutes.  Please join us for this special evening of music with Principia College Choir and Orchestra!
