About this event
When Nothing is Going Right, Can a Change in Vision Open the Way Forward?
ALTON, IL — Most of us have experienced a time when progress seemed difficult — a problem that wouldn’t yield, a relationship that needed healing, an uncertain future, or simply the feeling that there ought to be a better way forward.
What if progress begins with seeing things differently?
That idea is at the heart of a free public talk coming to Alton, IL on Monday, October 26. Dave Hohle, CSB, will present “Progress Is Inevitable — It Begins with Vision” at 6:30 pm at Post Commons, 300 Alby Street.
Hohle will explore how openness to our divine nature replaces limited beliefs with spiritual understanding. Cultivating our spiritual view–true vision–enables good to unfold in unexpected ways. Dave Hohle explores how we can yield to a purer, more loving understanding of life and reality. He connects timeless insights from the Bible with modern examples of how learning more about God heals bodies and transforms lives.
A Christian Science practitioner and teacher, Hohle is also a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. He speaks with audiences about spirituality, prayer and healing, and the ways a spiritual perspective can affect daily life.
This talk is intended to be a welcoming community event. Attendees do not need to have any previous knowledge of Christian Science. People from all religious backgrounds, as well as those who simply have questions about spirituality, are welcome!
The talk is sponsored by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Alton/Godfrey. This event will be streamed via Zoom. The Zoom link can be found at csalton.org.
