DAR “FRIEND-RAISER” Open House

Genealogy & Local History Library Saturday, November 7, 2026, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The Ninian Edwards Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Genealogy & Local History Library invite you to the annual DAR Open House. We will have experienced researchers available to guide you through the DAR application process. Don’t think you have a soldier in your family? There’s also the more general category of “Patriotic Service,” which includes things such as members of the Boston Tea Party, doctors and nurses rendering aid to the wounded, and even ministers who gave patriotic sermons and encouraged patriotic activity. Admission is free, and registration is not necessary. For program updates, please check the Ninian Edwards DAR Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/NinianEdwardsAltonILNSDAR.
