Cornerstone, in partnership with Metro East Mutual Aid, is hosting a poverty simulation experience. During this experience, participants will catch a glimpse of what it is to live in poverty in the United States. Participants will walk through life situations and challenges as family groups - each of them with different experiences and situations that will give participants a view of poverty they may not have realized.
The event will include an opening, simulation experience, and a time for debriefing. The purpose of the event is to further the mission of Cornerstone by fostering increased understanding and empathy towards our neighbors experiencing material poverty.
