In conjunction with our upcoming Unfiltered Lens exhibition of photographer Robert J. Ellison's work covering the same time period, the Alton NCG movie theater is offering a limited showing of Rustin.
The biopic about Bayard Rustin, an activist who inspired Ellison, covers Rustin's role in the 1963 March on Washington.
With a recent Oscar nomination for Best Actor, lead Colman Domingo is only the second openly gay actor playing a gay character to receive the honor, making this a film we are very excited to go see during black history month!
