"A Night at the Mouse Races" is an engaging event for community members, hosted by the Alton Area Optimist Club.
This unique evening of fun is slated for the first Saturday in February, with the excitement unfolding at 7:00 pm. Guests can get a head start on the festivities, with the doors welcoming them at 6:30 pm at the Alton-Wood River Sportsmens Club.
For an entry of just $20, attendees are not only contributing to a noble cause but are also treated to an array of complimentary beverages, including draft beer and soda, with the added thrill of a 50/50 raffle. The organizers encourage bringing your favorite snacks and dishes to share, creating a potluck-style atmosphere of community dining. However, they kindly request that alcoholic beverages remain at home.
The Alton Area Optimist Club prides itself on its longstanding service, enriching the Riverbend Community's youth for over 75 years, and this event promises to continue that tradition with flair.
