Think there's nothing to see in the forest in winter? Think aga in!
Winter provides a unique opportunity to observe things like nests a nd other animal homes, tracks, geology, topography, and more, in a wa y that just isn't possible during the hustle and bustle of the warmer mont hs. Plus, you will have the unique opportunity of having the trails pract ically to yourself because our trails are closed to the public during the winter months.
This is a 1-1.5 hour long guided hike, led by our educa tors. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable, supportive shoes such as boots or sneakers. Please bring a water bottle. Binoculars and ca meras are also encouraged! All ages are welcome, but you will need to be prepared to hike at least one mile on uneven terrain with some steep secti ons. See you on the trails!
Registration is not required for this hike. When you arrive, park in the lower gravel lot. The restrooms will be ope n for your use up near the lodge. Meet the trail guide in front of the lod ge.
