Looking forward to their December 4th Smorgasbord Dinner and Christmas Craft Bazaar at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto are the Planning Committee Members from Left to Right: Renee Harshbarger, Bea Albarado, Stacy Dooling, Ron Harshbarger, Fran Nappier and Dee Oller. The Smorgasbord Dinner will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the School Gym.
Excited to be able to hold their delicious Smorgasbord Dinner and Christmas Craft Bazaar, the parishioners at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish are preparing for their 60th annual event. For the past two years, the Smorgasbord had to be cancelled due to Covid-19, but is once again being offered to the public with the following menu: Knights of Columbus Fried Chicken, Turkey & Dressing, Cabbage Rolls (also called Pigs in the Blanket), Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Vegetables, Tossed Salad and Desserts and Beverages. Guests will be able to eat in or carry-out their dinner. In addition to the delicious food, there will be a Cash Raffle with $500, $250, $100, and $50 prizes.
There will be a second raffle of Christmas items. The Smorgasbord Committee members pictured here are holding up one of three prizes that will be raffled during the Christmas Raffle: the “JOY’ yard sign, Christmas Quilt and Advent Calendar with $200 worth of Gift Cards.
If you are looking for some unique Christmas gifts for the upcoming holiday, there will be a Christmas Craft Bazaar in a separate room off from the school gym. Featured there will be homemade sweet treats, cookies, candy, holiday breads, Christmas decorations, table centerpieces, Christmas ornaments and gifts for children.
