Next meeting for the Macoupin County Civil War Round Table is set for 2:30 p.m, Sunday, July 17th, at the Piasa Methodist Church Cemetery.
Piasa is on Illinois Route 16, west of Gillespie and south of Carlinville.
From there the group will caravan a few miles to a rural cemetery at Miles Station, the former resting place of Confederate General Bushrod Johnson.
John Alexander and Steve Hicks will supply comments along the way, focusing on Johnson and Illinois troops raised in the area.
