The Hummingbird wings average about 70 beats per second and tend to sound more like a bee than the smallest bird in the world. But how often do you really get to see one up close? The answer is at least once a year at the Hummingbird Festival at Pere Marquette Lodge in Grafton, IL. Visitors will watch as a local hummingbird expert measures, weighs and bands the birds from 11am-1pm. The Hummingbird Festival will also include unique craft and art vendors, live music, wine tasting, children’s activities, and restaurant favorites.
