Vishuddha, the 5th chakra, is located at the throat and is the first of the spiritual chakras. It’s most commonly associated with the color blue and with stones such as aquamarine and turquoise. The throat chakra is guided by the principle of expression and communication, both speaking and listening. It’s about the expression of yourself: your truth, purpose in life, creativity.
When Vishudda is blocked it can manifest as an excessive fear of speaking or having a small, imperceptible voice. An overactive throat chakra can lead to gossiping, non-stop talking or not being able to keep your word.
