People love walking around Elsah, feeling the presence of the past. Join us as we open the holiday season and our homes.
Historic Elsah Foundation’s annual Home for the Holidays will be held on Saturday afternoon, December 2, 2017, 12 pm to 4 pm. Your ticket includes a house tour, entertainment at various venues, a ride in a horse drawn carriage or in a decorated wagon drawn by a team of horses.
The My Just Desserts will provide a fixed price lunch for $11 at Farley’s Music Hall. Lunch is served from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm on a first come, first serve basis.

Local venues, including the Bed and Breakfasts in Elsah or the Alton Visitors’ Center will also have tickets for advance purchase. Information regarding buying tickets at the Alton Visitors’ Center can be found by visiting the Visitors’ Center at 200 Piasa Street in downtown Alton or by calling 618.465.6676. Tickets will also be available the day of the event, but tickets are limited. Advance tickets are $15 and $18 on the day of the event at the Civic Center starting at 11:30 am.

The Home for the Holidays House Tour is a program event of Historic Elsah Foundation. The Historic Elsah Foundation, incorporated in 1971 as a non-profit organization, has as its purpose the preservation and enhancement of the historic buildings, houses, architecture, and culture of the Village of Elsah, Illinois, through the encouragement of historical research on the Village and other nearby historic areas. The Historic Elsah Foundation sponsors research projects, educational meetings, house tours and walking tours, and is a co-sponsor of the Village of Elsah Museum.
