The contest is open to any local residents from age 5 through adult.
The categories will be for age groups from 5-7, 8-11, 12-15 and 16-adult, plus a special “Family/Group” category for families, classrooms or other groups of more than one person working together.
Contestants will be allowed to decorate their pumpkin however they want, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF CARVING!
The pumpkins will not hold up long enough to be carved, and we don’t want any rotting pumpkins in the library. Any carved pumpkin will not be entered into the contest.
Free pumpkins will be available to pick up on
Saturday, October 7th at 11:00 until supplies run out.
This will be the only time that pumpkins will be available.
Contestants will be allowed to provide their own pumpkin for the contest if they did not receive a free one.
Pumpkins were graciously donated by Matthew Leigh and Ashley Komnick - Local pumpkin farmers.
ALL PUMPKINS MUST BE SUMBITTED BY
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14th BY 2:00p.m.
Patrons will start voting for their favorite pumpkin on Monday, October 16th. Each person visiting the Library may vote ONCE DAILY for their favorite pumpkin within each category.
The last day to vote for your favorite pumpkin will be
Wednesday, October 25th.
Winners will be announced on Friday, October 27th.
