The Roxana School District is excited to announce facility improvements for the 2017-2018 school year and a welcome the community to an open house with the addition of a gymnasium at Roxana Jr. High School at the top of the list.
The new gym is located on the north side of the Jr. High. The addition includes a wrestling room on the northeast side.
“With only two gymnasiums in the district, this addition has been greatly needed,” Superintendent Debra Kreutztrager said in a release. “Students in grades 6-8 will not have to utilize the High School gymnasiums for P.E. or athletics. Athletic feeder programs will have access to the spaces alleviating late night practices for elementary students.”
