Support area cancer patients by joining us for the Third Annual Giraffe Run along the beautiful Alton Riverfront! There is a 5K and 1 mile option. All participants are able to take part in either no matter what their skill level is.
The Power of the Giraffe is a local non profit is a 100% volunteer organization that provides support to cancer patients. We provide care packages in the form of baskets to patients going thru cancer treatments (chemo, radiation etc.). We also provide financial support to patients in need to help with prescriptions, co-pays or other bills. We currently provide baskets to the patients at Alton Oncology and Infusion Center at Alton Memorial BJC, at the Cancer and Radiation Center at OSF St. Anthony’s, at Anderson Hospital’s Warren Bilhartz Cancer Center, at St. Louis University Hospital Radiation and Oncology units and Siteman Cancer Center. We also provide stuffed giraffes for children receiving treatments at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Costas Center and Women and Children’s Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Stick your neck out and help us help others.

Shirt packets can be picked up on Friday, April 21 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Midwest Members Credit Union, 101 Wesley Dr., Wood River, IL or before race time on Saturday, April 22.
