What do the Clark Bridge, the Chain of Rocks Canal, and the Melvin Price Locks and Dam have in common? All three structures were engineered to solve a problem! Earn a patch while developing your own engineering marvel! We will use science, technology, engineering and math to build a bridge that can withstand the weight of a bucket of pennies and learn about important bridges throughout history and in our region. All materials are included in the course fee. The session for Brownies will be from 9am-11am. The session for Juniors will be from 1pm-3pm. To register contact the Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois office at (800) 345-6858. For more information on the program contact the National Great Rivers Museum at (618) 462-6979.
