The Illinois Natural History Survey’s Great Rivers Field Station is hosting an open house in conjunction with the 10th Anniversary of the Mississippi Earthtones Festival. Come learn about the Mississippi River and the research we conduct. Meet scientists; meet biologists with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and learn about their work; learn about the US Army Corps of Engineers’ Upper Mississippi River Restoration; meet commercial fishers; fried Mississippi River fish for sale–prepared by Lovett’s Snoots, Fish, Chicken & More. Shuttles will provide transportation to and from the main festival site on Broadway.
