In search of that elusive Charmander? Trying to catch enough to evolve a Charizard? Come out to Charmander Festival on September 17th, 2016 at Glazebrook Park in Godfrey, IL - home of The Great Godfrey Corn Maze.
Glazebrook Park is a hot spot for Charmander nests, so you'll have plenty of hunting to do, but we have extra fun activities for when you need a break. There will be live music, food, and vendors. We will also have games and activities for all ages including:
Illinois fire departments will be on hand to discuss fire safety and emergency planning.
Pokemon Race through The Maze - Who can get through the corn maze with the least number of wrong turns? We'll be checking your app stats before you enter and once you come out to see who completes the maze in the shortest distance. Winner gets a prize! (corn maze ticket required)
Pokeball Hunt - All day long, find a hidden Pokeball and turn it in for a prize. Pokeballs will be hidden with varying levels of difficulty so kids will have a chance to play as well. Prizes range from candy and local coupons to gift cards and free t-shirts.
Pokeball Throwing Tournament - Have you mastered your curve ball in real life? Come toss a Pokeball through one of our hoops to catch a Charmander and see who can get it throught the hoop from the furthest distance. There will be winners for each team (Mystic, Instinct, and Valor) who will then compete for their team's honor in one final battle! We will have a children's competition earlier in the day (times coming soon).
That doesn't even include the fun things offered at The Great Godfrey Corn Maze. This year, they've added a Bounce Pillow for the little ones. They also have other activities for young and old alike.
