The Village will once again be celebrating Arbor Day with a festival at Glazebrook Park. Festivities will include rides on the zip line and cow train, crafts, climbing wall, a chainsaw wood sculptor, and free food. The Junior League of Greater Alton will be hosting a Kids in the Kitchen walking event at the park beginning at 10 am. The day will kick off with a fishing derby at 8:30 am. Sam the Liberty Bank Eagle will stop by for a visit as will Sprig, the USDA Forest Service Treeture and the LORAX. The Arbor Day Program will be held at 12 pm with the Memorial Tree Dedication ceremony.
