Greenfield-Northwestern blanked Routt 45-0 in its football season opener on Friday night, Aug. 21, 2026.
Ty Bowman had a strong game from his quarterback position and was 8 of 12 passing for 152 yards and two TD's. He also carried three times for 41 yards and a score.
Greenfield-Northwestern was paced by Carter Murphy with 81 yards in 12 carries and a score. Brennen Vetter had 31 yards in five carries for a score, and Logan Ross added 28 yards in four carries for a score.
Carter Chapman had five catches for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Jason Hoots had one catch for 24 yards and Ross one reception for 20 yards.
For Routt, Jackson Place had 25 yards rushing in seven carries; Brady Rhodes had five yards in seven carries.
Anson Butcher completed four passes in seven attempts for 38 yards for Routt. Danny Devine completed three of four passes for 15 yards.
Nolan Mossman had four catches for 38 yards and Taegan Rives had one catch for 18 yards and Peyton Long had one catch for two yards.
Greenfield-Northwestern returns to action with a 7 p.m. game Friday night, Aug. 28, 2026, at Camp Point Central, followed by a Sept. 4 7 p.m. outing at home against Carrollton.

Nashville scored 30 points in the first quarter in the 42-14 win over Roxana at Nashville this past Friday night. Roxana scored twice in the first quarter.
"Nashville is a good team," DeVries said. "We just need to come back and continue to work to get better every week."
Aiden Stemm and Mekhi Shorter both scored touchdowns for Roxana against Nashville.
Nick Miles led the Shells against Nashville with 11 tackles.
Cavs' White Scores Twice In Vandals 48-20 Win Over Carlinville
Joel White had a big game for Carlinville on Friday night against Vandalia with scores of a one-yard run and from 16 yards in a 48-20 loss to the Vandals.
White carried 24 times for 76 yards in the contest.
Cameron Cooper had four receptions for the Cavaliers for 78 yards, Enrietta Cash, Hagan Eades and Colsen Ferratto also had receptions.
Quarterback Payton Gilpin was six of nine passing for 88 yards and one touchdown.

Cahokia dominated Springfield 40-0 in a road contest in Springfield on Friday night, Aug. 21, 2026.
Cahokia quarterback Nigel Gooden tossed two touchdown passes and Martavius Norris was on the receiving end of two scores. Hartles Holman also had a touchdown reception. Norris had 88 yards receiving in the game.
Cahokia running back Kameron Dowell had 134 yards rushing; Machai Henderson had 44 yards.
