Scott James Crowder, 56, rode off to his heavenly home Saturday May 11, 2024.

Born December 15, 1967 in Alton, he was the son of James and Judith (Ott) Crowder of Kane.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a daughter, Dylann Elizabeth (Mason) Hayes of Ft. Worth, TX; a sister, Kori (Jeff) Baron of Glendale, Mo; a niece, Adalyn Baron; aunt, Robin Fultz; and cousins, Jamie Ott and family; and Jake and Ike Sullivan and family.

Also surviving is his beloved partner, Martha Kilmer of Alton.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, James Crowder and Loraine Crowder, maternal grandparents, Don and Helen Ott; his uncle, Donnie Ott; and a cousin, Chris Ott.

Scott was known for his infectious smile and laugh. He loved his family and friends and never met a stranger. He enjoyed playing football, rugby, working out, bow hunting, and had a passion for motocross racing.

He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday May 16 at the 1st United Methodist Church in East Alton where services will be conducted at 11:30 am, Friday.  Frank Akers will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials are suggested to Splinter Creek Dirt Riders, Inc.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
