Richard “Rick” C. Goodman, 75, of Brighton, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born on August 25, 1948, in Alton, the son of the late Dorothy (Long) and Richard K. Goodman.
Rick married Nancy Krypel on April 17, 2009.
He retired from Shell Oil Company as an instrumental Electrician in 2000. Rick was an athlete, always active fishing, playing softball, bowling, and golf. He started an annual trip, with help from his longtime secretary Helen Waite, to the Ozarks with the “Dirty Dozen”, with their 30th trip coming up this July. BDLGGITWOAGT.
Rick is survived by his wife, Nancy Goodman; children, Kenny (Melissa) Goodman of Carlyle, IL, Gwen (Jeremy) Ward of Godfrey, Erik (Hilary) Maryniw of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Tracy (Tom) Haselhorst of Rotonda, Fl; eight grandchildren, Delcy, Harper, Rhett, Tucker, Quinny Sue, Jen, Eric, and Serenity; two siblings, Beverly Bandy and Rocky (Cookie) Goodman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of funeral service at noon, on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
