Irvan Lee Ashley, 72 of Staunton, IL passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born to the late Irvan Homer Ashley and Violet Vera (Henson) Ashley-Curtis on October 1, 1951 in Centralia, IL. Irvan served his country for 2 years in the US Army; after leaving the Army he attended Rice Aviation School. He met Patricia Odell and they were married on February 14, 1997 in Macoupin County, IL. Irvan loved to spend his time outdoors gardening or camping. He also loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs play ball. What he loved most in life was spending time with his family. Irvan was a proud and independent person and will be greatly missed by all.
Besides his wife Patricia, Irvan is survived by 4 daughters: Leigh (Sean) Fenton, Erica (Axel) Dilliard, Amanda Adams, Samantha (Michael) Dierking; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and 1 great grandchild on the way; a brother: Garland Ashley; 3 sisters: Alice Kidd, Linda (Otto) Wyse, Lena Scott; and many nieces and nephews.
Irvan is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister: Vera Levacy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Irvan.
