Born on June 3, 1936, in Alton, she was the daughter of Major and Sabra (Ballard) Pollard. Norma married Allen Dale Agee on February 25, 1960, in Alton, and they shared many years together until his passing on December 25, 1990.

Jeanie's life was defined by her deep love for children. She found joy in caring for them, evident in her ownership of Little Darlings Daycare. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Jeanie also found solace and inspiration in music, particularly enjoying the melodies of the Gaither Vocal Band.

A woman of faith, Jeanie was a dedicated member of the church community. She was a former member of Spring Street Assembly of God Church in Alton and later attended Abundant Church in Alton, where her spiritual beliefs guided her life.

Jeanie will be lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses: Donald & Elaine Funk, Lonnie & Dodie Funk, Alan & Donna Funk, Timothy Agee, Tammy Porter, Bev & Joe Stephanick, and Norma Hoggatt, and bonus son, John Garvey. She also leaves behind a legacy through her thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and one expectant great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanie was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Lonnie Pollard, her sister, Ruth Kessinger, a son-in-law, Dan Porter, and a son, Gilbert Agee.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
