The warm weather and wet conditions that were with us earlier this year will probably lead to an earlier season for the fall colors. That is the prediction of a local weather expert, who says he is already seeing the colors change in parts of the Riverbend.
John Nell, Weatherspotter Training Facilitator tells The Big Z the colors have been trending later in recent years, but this year may be a return to normal.

As for when the leaves turn, you can keep track of the so-called “hot spots” through the local tourism bureau’s website.
