St. Louis Rams defensive end Chris Long was busy during practice on Wednesday, but we will have to wait before learning if he will suit up on Sunday against Oakland.
“He’s coming on--he did a little bit more today,” acknowledged Head Coach Jeff Fisher. “We’ve missed him. We’ve missed his production. We’ve missed the consistent year after year sack production and his ability to play the run. When he comes back it should help us improve in those areas.”
Long, who has averaged 11 sacks over the last three seasons, has been out since suffering an ankle injury in Week 1. Robert Quinn, who is expected to play Sunday, did not practice due to an undisclosed injury.
