The Riverbend Growth Association conducted a ribbon cutting to honor the Grand Opening of Godfrey’s newest playground. Located in Homer Adams Park behind Godfrey’s Town Hall at 6810 Godfrey Road, the playground boasts slides, monkey bars, rope ladders and climby things of many types. The surface underneath all the equipment is a poured-in-place rubber deck to cushion falls. The cost for replacement of the old park was $100,000, $90,625 of which was covered by a Madison County grant. Watch as RBGA Director of Member Services Trish Holms conducts the ceremony and asks for comments from Kimberly Caughran – Director of Parks and Recreation and Godfrey Mayor Mike McCormick. The Park is open every day from sunrise to sunset.
