Both the public and members of the Riverbend Growth Association were on hand for an open house/ribbon cutting for St. Anthony’s Renovated Emergency Center. After beginning the event with a blessing from the hospital’s Chaplin Fr. Tom Donovan, St. Anthony’s Health Center President and CEO Sr. M. Mikela, surrounded by Medical Director Dr. Ghanem Abusbeih, MD and Director of Emergency Services John Peipert, RN, cut bright blue ribbon.
After a year of planning, the Emergency Center renovation project, which consisted of redecorating the current waiting room; building a new and more comfortable waiting room and adding ‘Results Pending’ facilities to the ER, the project began in December 2013 and was completed at a cost of $200,000. Addition of the results pending room will allow for improved patient flow and comfort.
A special thanks goes out to Riverbend Growth Association and Association President, Monica Bristow, for organizing the event.
