The annual Fireworks on the Mississippi kicked off at 9:30 p.m. Friday on the Alton riverfront despite recent problems with high river levels. Music played from 6:00 p.m to 9:30 p.m. as attendants watched from the amphitheather grounds. The event included a kids village and activiites for all ages.
