Eagle Scouts Retire Flags at Edwardsville's American Legion

When an American flag reaches the end of its life cycle, the government requires that the flag be disposed of in a dignified manner. Local scout troops from across the river bend gathered at Edwardsville's American Legion to give these great American symbols a proper send off. The event also marked a final task for Bryce Fitzgerald, a boy scout who will now become an Eagle scout.
