Freed slave, civil rights activists, and a founding father of the Prince Hall Free and Accepted Masons in Illinois, Issaac H. Kelly was honored by masons from across the state at the National Cemetery in Alton. His previously unmarked grave was presented with a new headstone in a dedication ceremony.
