Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities Construction Walk-through with Dr. Edward Hightower

September 29, 2015 | 7,984 views |

Dr. Ed Hightower, executive director for the Mannie Jackson Center for Humanities Foundation (MJCH), walks us through the humanities center to give us a preview of what the building will become. The MJCH conducts activities that promote mutual understanding and respect among people of different cultures, races, ethnicities, religions, and other distinctions: influence positive social change by transforming attitudes and perceptions towards greater acceptance, tolerance, and interaction among these groups: and ultimately remove barriers that hinder individuals and groups from realizing their aspirations and full potential. The building is currently under construction, but will be opening its doors to the public soon.
