In the Edwardsville regional semifinals Tuesday evening at Lucco-Jackson Gym, Belleville East won over the host Tigers 25-17, 24-26, 25-18, while Belleville Althoff Catholic eliminated Alton 25-17, 25-20.
Father McGivney Catholic defeated East Alton-Wood River in a Class 1A Regional baseball game at Roxana 13-2 in five innings. Jackson Rodgers struck out five in a five-inning complete game on the mound.
Southwestern's girls played Columbia close in a regional softball game at Roxana but fell 3-0.
