William H. Shelton, 81, passed away 3:12 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Rosewood Care Center of Alton.
Born in Alton on February 28, 1933, he was the son of Luther and Goldie (Forrest) Shelton.
He had been a maintenance man for Laclede Gas for over 20 years before retiring.
Surviving are two nieces, Dawn Lemons, Sheri (Dale) Sullivan; two nephews, Robert Shelton, II, Craig Shelton; many great nieces and nephews.
His parents and two brothers, Robert and Larry Shelton preceded in death.
Services were conducted on Saturday, June 28 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
