Annie L. McCrady age 87 received eternal rest and peace on Sunday January12, 2014, at 5:51 p.m. at Alton Memorial Hospital.  She was born November 7, 1926 in Guntown, Mississippi.  She was the daughter of Claude L.  and Alberta (Bond) Ewing.  Annie was married to Samuel  F.H. McCrady in Tupelo, MS in 1945.
She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church where she served in various capacities.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend to many. Annie was a domestic homemaker for several families throughout the community.She is survived by three sons, Edward McCrady, William “Billy” (Theresa) McCrady and Minister Darrell (Sherry) McCrady all of Alton; two daughter Louella (Plandtus “Skip”) Clanton and Earlene Mack both of Alton; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren,  5 great-great-grandchildren,  two sisters Clara Richey of Saltillo, MS; and Esther Cross of Alton; one brother Audie B. Ewing of East Alton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Visitation Saturday 18, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church.  Burial Upper Alton Cemetery
