JERSEYVILLE- Hazel Geraldine "Pete" Jones, 86, died at 5:55 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at her residence.She was born in Jersey County on June 11, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Harry W. & Edna Mae (Devening) Lyles.Pete married Francis "Frank" Jones on June 17, 1949 in Jerseyville, and together they have shared nearly 64 years together.Surviving are her husband, Frank Jones of Jerseyville; a son & daughter in law, Michael & Joan Jones of Hendersonville, Tn.; three daughters & a son in law, LInda Cassidy, and her companion, Jerry Cassidy of Godfrey, Debra & Bruce Gray of Litchfield, and Karla McSchooler of Canton; 13 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; three brothers, Richard "Dick" Lyles of Jerseyville, James Lyles of Kane, and Robert Lyles of Jerseyville; seven sisters, Essie Heitzig of Fieldon, Mae Lohse of Florida, Lillie Wilson and Nora Jones both of Jerseyville, Cora Hadlock of Casper, Wy., Edith Dugger of Jerseyville, and Janice O'Brien of Lake Ozark, Mo.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Loren Robert "Buddy" Bishop; two sisters, Ruby Williams and Marcella "Mickey" Wallace, and two infant sisters, Violet & Dodie; and two brothers, LC Lyles and Herbert Lyles.Visitation will be from 9 a.m., Friday until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, with the Rev. Joel Lohr officiating.Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the Blessing Hospice of Greene County.The Jones family would like to sincerely thank both Dr. Cristy Elving and Jersey Community Hospital for the loving and compassionate care shown to Pete during her illness
