
JERSEYVILLE- Mary Elizabeth Frost, 95, died at 3:57 p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home.She was born in Jersey County on March 3, 1918, and was the daughter of the late Lester & Tossie (Whitlock) Huff.Mary was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, and was active on the family farm near Medora. She was involved in 4-H, was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Jerseyville, where she served as a former Sunday School teacher, and served on the Ruyle Township Election Board.She married Floyd Raymond "Frosty" Frost on Feb. 14, 1941 in St. Charles, Mo., and together they raised two daughters and just celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary before his death on March 11, 2013.Surviving are two daughters & a son in law, Doris Ann Marshall of Jerseyville, and Roberta & Robert Hanneken of Kane; six grandchildren & their spouses, Mike & Anne Marshall of Jerseyville, Michelle Honchell of Dow, Mark & Sherri Marshall, Myron Marshall of Jerseyville, Robert John "Bobby John" & Tasha Hanneken of Godfrey, Rebecaa "Becky" & Brian Bohannon of Jerseyville; 13 Great Grandchildren, Ashley, Casey, Ceshia, Blake, Kristen, Mitch, Cailey, Mylee, Cody, Tate, Alli, Maci, Molli; two step great grandchildren, Dominick & Alesha; two great great grandchildren, Mallory & Libby; four brothers & sisters in law, George & June Huff of Godfrey, Homer Huff of Medora, Frances Eugene Huff of Carlinville, and Robert Huff of Medora; a sister in law, Geraldine Huff of Medora.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Long and Edna Allen; three brothers, William Huff, Harold Huff, and Raymond Huff; along with three sisters in law, Margaret, Delores and Alma.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Joel Lohr will officiate.Burial will be alongside her husband at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the Bethel Baptist Church in Jerseyville or to the Activity Department at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home
