Patricia Davis, 87, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at North Church Nursing & Rehab. in Jacksonville, IL. Born April 4, 1925 in Wood River, she was the daughter of Edward and Mary T. (McChestney) Walls. She retired as a secretary from Miller’s Mutual Insurance Company in Alton. On October 21, 1950 in Alton, she married Carl F. Davis. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2003. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Lara Davis of Gillespie, a daughter-in-law, Elaine Davis of Carrollton, four grandchildren, Christina Marie Duran of Carbondale, IL, Edward Daniel Davis Jr., U.S. Army, stationed in Korea, Brian Cato of Gillespie, and Angela Cato-Holder of Cottage Hills, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Patrick Davis, a grandson, Carl William Davis, and a half brother, Walter Walls. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.
