Kathleen A. (Franklin - Callison) Brown, 48, passed away at 2:14pm on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at her residence.
She was born on October 25, 1963, in Alton, Illinois the daughter of Norma L. Franklin known as Dhavala Shanmuga of the Island of Kauai and the late William H. Franklin. She was raised by her grandparents the late Earl W. and Margaret A. Callison.
She married Ronald Brown on May 31, 2008, in Brighton, Illinois and he survives. Other survivors include one son: Dakota Burton of Cottage Hills, two daughters: Holly Burton of East Alton, Margaret Burton of Shipman, a step -son: Ryan Brown of Alton, a step - daughter and her husband: Brandy and Joe Davis of West Palm Beach, Florida, one granddaughter: Kailey Burton, two step - grandsons: John Davis and Justin Davis, three sisters and brothers in law: Sally and Clifford Christie Hodge of Montana, Kelly and Patrick Moore of Godfrey, Debra and Joe Poquette of Winter Haven, Florida, three brothers and sisters in law: William and Linda Franklin of Sarasota, Florida, Patrick and Pam Franklin of Bradenton, Florida, Manny and Barbara Franklin of the Island of Kauai, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was employed at GNC at Alton Square Mall for over 26 years. She was a member of the Brighton Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents that raised her.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the funeral home. Pastor Ron Bottens will officiate. Burial will follow Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Riverbend.
