DIED:  5:26 AM, Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at Willow Rose Rehab and Health Care Center in Jerseyville

BORN:   October 20, 1925 at Rockbridge, he was the middle child of seven

PARENTS: Carl F. & Viola ( Loy ) Bowman, Sr.  (both deceased)

MARRIED:  He met the love of his life Aug. 18, 1940 , Maxine Hazelwood and they were married Oct. 27, 1945 at Alton.

  She went to be with the Lord Dec. 13, 2005, shortly after they celebrated their 60^th wedding anniversary.

OCCUPATION:  He lived in Jersey County most of his life and was employeed byJersey County Motor,  Isringhausen Implement and Hargrave International before entering the ministry in 1975.  He and his wife then moved to Glasgow, IL where he served as pastor of the Baptist Church for seven years and then to Franklin, IL where they both served for six years.  He also worked at JC Penney in Jacksonville during this time.

VISITATION:  4 UNTIL 8 PM  Wed., Oct 19 at Alexander & Gubser Funeral Home

SERVICE:  10 AM  Thursday Oct 20 at Alexander & Gubser Funeral Home

OFFICIANT:  Rev. Mark Myers

INTERMENT: Oak Grove Cemetery at Jerseyville

SON:  Larry  (Diane)  Bowman  of Jerseyville

SIX GRANDCHILDREN:  Donald (Cynthia) McAdams, Jr., Melody (Troy) Kelley, Robert (Peggy), David (Shannon) and 

  Joshua (Stevie) McAdams and Michelle (Dave) Jack.

Four Great-Grand:  Sabrina, Grace, Michael and Kedrin McAdams and one on the way.
