Jeffrey Alan Tucker, 55, of New Athens, IL, born January 20, 1971, in Belleville, IL, died Friday, October 30, 2026, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jeff attended Belleville Township High School East and Belleville Area College. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL.
He was an Electrician for Gilbert Electric for over 10 years, a trade he started practicing at the young age of 12 in his childhood home while his parents were away at dinner. Jeff would take new things apart just to be able to put them back together – and usually got it right!
A girl-dad through and through, Lilly and Charli were the light of Jeff’s life and everything he did was for them. He loved watching their sporting events or taking them fishing any chance they got – just as long as they were together. He never passed up the chance to take silly pictures or teach them a new wrestling move. He was so proud to be their dad.
Jeff and Maggie loved boating, sitting around a good bonfire with friends, or just hanging out with their four-legged girls, Shadow and Maddie, listening to music in the garage. They shared many good years together and Maggie was Jeff’s rock through his battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Pierce; his father, Charles “Fred” Tucker; his grandparents, James and Freddie Tucker and Wesley and Selma Stortzum; and three aunts, Marilyn Darner, Martha (Dr. James) Stephens, and Jeanene (Donald) McCoy.
Surviving are two daughters, Lilly Madison (Cole Dachsteiner) Tucker and Charli Ann Tucker, both at home; his mother, Joyce Tucker; his fiancée, Margaret “Maggie” Henson and her son, Justin Elkins; his sisters, Peggy (Bill) Parolin; Cathie (Larry) Shurtleff; Julie Tucker; and Joy (Norm) Hayward his brother, Rick (Niki) Tucker; his sisters-in-law, Helen (Jeff) Paulson; Davida (Tim) Karban, and Ava (Ervin) Kalagian; his aunt, Kathleen Steinberg, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
